Policy
Accessibility Statement
Effective at opening. This policy takes effect when applications open, and may be revised before then. It has no effective date yet.
Applications are not open, and no fee can currently be paid.
1. The target
Admitted targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across every experience it operates: the public site, the application flow, the member portal, and the internal admin tools. The serious visual tone of the site must never make instructions or errors harder to read.
2. Concrete commitments
- Semantic landmarks, correct heading order, real lists, labeled tables, form labels, and buttons - with a skip link and predictable keyboard navigation throughout.
- Visible focus indicators meeting the required size and contrast, on every control.
- Minimum 44-pixel touch targets for primary controls.
-
Form errors presented as a summary at the top plus field-level messages linked with
aria-describedby; after submission, focus moves to the error summary or the new step's heading. - Status conveyed by text and icon, never by color alone.
- Support for 200% zoom, browser text resizing, high contrast, and reflow at 320 CSS pixels of width without horizontal page scrolling.
- Reduced-motion preferences respected; no state change depends on motion.
- File upload operable by keyboard through a standard file input, with drag-and-drop only as an optional enhancement.
- No CAPTCHA task that excludes a user: the anti-automation challenge has an accessible fallback and an accessible support route.
- Authentication and timeouts permit extension and do not erase entered data without warning; passkey, TOTP, and recovery-code instructions are tested with screen readers.
3. Known limitations
The service has not yet opened. Only the public informational site exists today, and it has not yet completed full assistive-technology testing across the representative screen-reader and browser combinations Admitted has committed to. Issues found before opening are tracked and fixed as part of the launch gates, and this section will be kept current as testing completes. Content supplied by a third party - a mailbox provider's webmail and Stripe's checkout and billing portal - will be outside Admitted's direct control; Admitted will report accessibility defects to those vendors and help any member complete the same task another way. Feedback on anything that is hard to perceive, operate, or understand is welcomed.
4. Accommodations and feedback
Admitted will provide reasonable accessibility accommodations in the application process without lowering substantive eligibility criteria, through a monitored support route published on the Contact page once it exists; you will not have to disclose a diagnosis to ask. The same route will take accessibility feedback about any part of the service. Requests are answered by a person, and an application is not disadvantaged because an accommodation was requested.
